Sophia Johnson, a 10 year old girl has given a performance that is taking her to the next level of the reality show, "Dance With Peter."
Over 500 individual dancers and groups gathered together at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre in Benin on Friday to compete for the six regional slots for the centre.
Sophia had a standout performance that earned her affirmation from the judges.
Sophia is a Primary Five pupil of Cherish Montessori Academy, Warri, Delta State. She stated that if she made it to the final contest in Lagos, she would do her best to win the prize and used her proceeds to further her education and career in dancing.
A group of four young dancers, like Sophia, called Fantastic 4 Dancers, have equal expectations to acquire a ticket in the Benin audition.
"We very much hope to impress the judges and make it to the final." they said.
Another group, 'The Dance Overflow', led by Eggisohe Akpes, promised a mind-blowing performance to appreciate Globacom for providing platform for them to demonstrate their talents.
Dancer and dance instructor, Kafayat Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, was the judge alongside Don Flexx and Dipp, who stood in for Peter of P-Square, judged the contest.
